- The purpose of this lecture is to convey the importance of Maryland’s Port of Baltimore as a port of immigration, particularly for Germans entering the United States in the 1800s, many who took advantage of the combined ship and rail ticket to go West.
- An overview of pertinent resources will be provided as well as providing coverage of useful Internet sites.
